Comrie Village
Welcome, to our beautiful village of Comrie in Perthshire, Scotland, which lies on the banks of the River Earn nestled on the edge of the Scottish Highlands. Comrie is in the heart of the scenic West Strathearn area of Perthshire, situated at the meeting of Glens Lednock and Artney, with the Scottish Highlands rising to the north.
Purpose of this website
The site is designed to provide local people with information about the village, its facilities, organisations and events and also to provide our young people with an area that they can call their own.
The site is also intended to encourage visitors to visit our beautiful village by providing a small taste of the facilities we have to offer.
This Week in the village
Comrie Landmark Restored to Former Glory
The finial on the Earthquake House was replaced this week (11th Nov, 8) Roofman, Gerry Harper, from W. J. Davidson, Builders, fixed the all steel device in place. The previous finial, described as "a small, ornamental, terminal feature at the top of a gable ... " had been made of wood, and in 20 years or more had rotted away. Scotland's smallest historic monument is currently undergoing refurbishment.
Marking out the Allotments at Cultybraggan Camp
One or two members of the Allotments Association will be spending the morning of Saturday 25th Oct marking out the allotments. Stop Press - Torrential rain prevented work going ahead.
